Aerich Einion

An old man sits down near the fireplace of the common room.

"Greetings young one, so you wish to hear of the path I've chosen in life?"

"Well, the begining isn't a good place...too much of a boring childhood, my young adult life was no better. No, my life actually started when I was of middle years, the point in time where you start wondering if you've done everything yet, before ye get too old to do it. One day I was working in my garden out back behind my small house when it suddenly hit me. I don't know why the thought came into my head, but there it was and suddenly everything was clear. Everything you'll ever see in this world is all made of the 6 primal elements. Oh, I'm flesh and blood, but your thinking what in Thrynn's Horns does Earth, Air, Water, Fire, Cold and Lightning have to do with flesh and blood?"

He stops and takes a small sip of the Scarlet Gate Tavern Specialty in front of him.

"It has plenty to do with it. You have water in your blood, earth in your bones, air in your lungs fire in your heart, lightning in your spine, and cold all around you to bind it in. Not literally of course but it's there just the same."

"I see the glazed look in yer eye. No I did not mean to say you didn't understand what I just said, you just don't understand it the way a Druid would understand. You sit there in your metal armor, all shining yet all that metal only takes away from your own strength the primal elements give ye. The metal confines the cold around you and heats it up, the all the other primal elements bleed out of you faster than a greased pig down in Parath."

"Ye think all that metal gives ye power? Can ye pull down the raging heat of the sun? Bring out the earth in anothers skin and give them an affliction to fire? can you have the earth grasp onto a mans legs not letting them move? push all the heat out of a weapon so that its bite freezes everything it touches?"

"Power like that lies in knowledge and coercion. You learn to coax and push the elements to your bidding. But it is like the blade with two edges the slightest wrong move could shift the elements against you, Nature is not commanded lightly nor easily, and she is very unforgiving."

He yawns.

"Night there youngin, I've told as much as I can this drink. Mayhaps the next day I'm in town I'll tell you some more of my way of life. I have duties to return to, ones from long ago that now beckon once again."
