... Some say being born into a well known family is a blessing. Some say it is a curse. I am yet to decide.

My name is Aleyna DeClarmont. I was born under the banner of Brynn to Klio and Jerrel DeClarmont.

My Dad is well known in this realm, and a great ranger. I have chosen to follow the same path, as I believe rangers are some of the best beings alive. I only hope one day that I can be half the ranger he is. He has promised to show me everything he knows, and teach me the ways of a true ranger.

My Mom, Klio... if you have not had her help you in one way or another, you have not been around much. She is adept in the art of magic and has the biggest heart in the whole realm. They tell me she has always been ready to assist any young adventurer, be it with equipment, spell ups or merely advise. I hope to inherit some of her kindness, and I feel sure that I will.

Perhaps you are not aware that Solsword blood runs through my veins. At one time, it was one of the best known names in the realm. My Uncle Leowyn, a great knight led the Barony of Tattingham until his retirement. I am fortunate in the fact that he is still around and able to share stories of my family, as well as some of their secrets.

My Uncle Escobar ran the Barony of Riverdale. That is, until I am told he was asked to leave. Some say it was from dealing with goblins, others just won't say. I only know that I never got to meet him in person, and that saddens me. My Mom speaks very highly of him.

My Uncle Raymond is one I have not heard much about. Seems he disappeared for a long time and has now returned to our lives. I feel certain adventure awaits with this one.

So, now you know a little of my dilemma about being born into a well known family. You know some people will remember the good my family has done, while others will focus on the bad.

I am aware that it is my duty to strive to become the best at what I do. Maybe in some way I will be able to make up for any wrong that my family has caused.

I will make an impact on this realm, that I am certain. It will not be because I am a DeClarmont. It will not be because I am a Solsword. It will be because I am now, and will always be.... just me!
