Andreos Roanne

Andreos was born in the great capital city of Ulaid. He was born to Bareos and Cendra Roanne, both members of the small group of the population that could legitimatly call themselves middle-class. Bareos was a scribe by trade and his wife was a librarian in the Royal Library. Bareos' father, Gaireos by name was a scribe to the house of Tirome during the goblin wars in and around Stonegate. The House of Tirome, going through some disgrace after said wars, was forced to dismiss some of their servants. Gaireos, being fairly new to the service of Tirome was one of the first to go and was able to find work with one of the other great houses in Ulaid. He always reminisced to Bareos and later Cendra as to the greatness of Tirome and its Dukes, passing on his loyalty to them. It was found out upon Gaireos' death that he had remained loyal to Tirome and had acted as a spy on other houses in his later career. Upon this discovery, Bareos was blacklisted in Ulaid by houses opposed to Tirome and was forced to work for a minor noble house which owed favours to Tirome. Cendra's job at the library was safe though, as Tirome's power was still evident in many areas of Ulaid.

Bareos and Cendra were the parents to Andreos, his brother Cedreas, and younger twin sisters, Beaerea and Leaerea. Andreos being the eldest naturally was trained as a scribe, in his father's footsteps. When he reached the age of ten he was discovered using a ventriloquism spell to make his newborn sisters appear to insult those who opposed Tirome. Judging their son to be proficient in magic, and eavesdropping, Bareos and Cendra had Andreos apprenticed to a magus loyal to Tirome and for all purposes said good-bye to their son.

The magus, Brathano, by name was a disciplinarian as well as a teacher. Andreos learned quickly from him, yet was often at loggerheads with the man, for Andreos had grown up as a cynic and enjoyed deconstructing ideas and theories just for fun. Brathano beleived the cynisism and sarcasm to be flippancy on Andreos' part and they had frequent arguements. Brathano would have gotten rid of his student in the early years if he wasn't so impressed with the young man's talent. Seven years later, after one of many arguements, the seventeen year old Andreos took matters into his own hands. He slipped down to the docks near dusk and met up with a ship captian heading for Quessa. After the sea journey Andreos made his way around the duchies and baronies of the area and eventually settled in Stonegate for a year, studying on his own and working as a scribe for some merchant families there. After observing the situation for roughly a year, Andreos, unimpressed by many of the noble houses decided to offer his serviced to Tirome..........
