Caellus Ducere

To many I am known simply as Caellus...

I am a minor vassal to the Barony of Karathos, my liege of course being Baron Jahron Reiger. I believe I was born in Ulaid, as my earliest memories were of me sleeping in the garbage bins behind the taverns and Inns and scrounging for food all hours of the night. I never knew my mother and father, and in truth the name Caellus, for a long while, was the only thing I possessed.

I discovered I had a natural talent for the darker arts, the side of magic not many wish to discuss or share knowledge of. I was fortunate to have found a mentor early in my days and rose to considerable ability soon after. It was at the climax of my relationship with this teacher, that I realized I was truly alone and set sights for the less populated areas of Kirganthis.

During this time of wandering and adventure, that spanned the course of nearly fifteen years, I discovered the three things that would change my life forever. The first was my faith in the spirit of the raven, the guide, the messenger. The second was the sacred text, "L'Tenecrophium", the Book of Death's Embrace. A fabulous tome that extended my powers even further. The last, would be the understanding of a Baron that saw fit to help me change this dark gift into something positive, into life magic.

In so many words, that is all I am. Just another shadow drifting endlessly upon this plane while I have the energy to do so. I am a teacher to those seeking knowledge, indiscriminately. I am a researcher and historian, a linguist and an explorer. I live meagerly in the hills north of Karlsburg and can often be found studying at the great Library of the Castle of Karathos.

I am, simply, Caellus.
