Races
For those players who have always wished to play something a little out of the ordinary, for those who are tired of only being able to choose from the stock ROM selections of dwaves, elves, giants, and humans, we have added a few well known fantasy races to the mix of choices, as well as some completely original selections as well. One point of interest about races, worry not about the statistical advantage you might think you would get from a race in the past, pick a race for what you wish to roleplay as, the stats do not vary much from race to race, but instead vary where a character can hail from and what they can do with their character as they progress in their life within the realms. |
Dwarves - Appearing to be chiseled out of the very rocks in which they delve, dwarves are amongst the hardiest of races. Dwarves can choose from the cleric, warrior, and ranger classes. Most dwarves hail from Brulan or Hightrove, but they can also hail from Stonegate, Quessa, Karlsburg, Forge, or Riverdale. Elves - Born in the forests, and for the most part, still residing there, elves are creatures steeped in magic and nature. Elves can choose from the mage, alchemist, cleric, druid, thief, warrior, and ranger classes. Nearly all elves hail from Kisah, but on occasion they hail from Quessa, Riverdale, or Stonegate. Faeries - The faeries of Kirtganthis are for the most part benevolent small flying creatures, but with a definite streak of mischief in them. Faeries can choose from the mage, druid, and thief classes. Faeries live normally near human and elf enclaves, such as Stonegate, Kisah, Quessa, Riverdale, Forge, and Karlsburg. Goblins - Goblins are generally thought of as the spawn of evil and the general source of all mischief, and therefor shunned by most everyone. Goblins can choose from the cleric, necromancer, thief, and warrior clases. To the disgust of most everyone, goblins hail from all over the world with the exception of the dwarven lands where they were erradicated completely. Half-Elves - Not accepted fully by their elven ancestry, half-elves are found mainly near human civilizations. Half-elves can choose from any class but knights and hail from nearly all cities and towns with the exception of Brulan and Hightrove. Half-Orcs - Halfbreeds of orcs and whatever else they might have mated with at that particular moment, half-orcs have used their heritage to their advantage to adapt to their surroundings. Half-orcs can choose from the mage, cleric, necromancer, thief, and warrior classes. The only places where half-orcs normally do not hail from is the island of Shatiras. Halflings - Small cheerful fellows, halflings are welcomed in most every community. Halflings can choose from the alchemist, cleric, thief, warrior, and ranger classes. Halflings can be found in every city and settlement across Kirganthis, but primarily on the island of Shatiras. Humans - A large percentage of the population is composed of humans, able to breed relatively fast, and adapt to most locales and hardships, humans are quite average at most everything they do. Humans can choose any class, and are the only who can become knights. Humans hail from everywhere except Brulan, Hightrove, Kisah, and the island of Shatiras. Minotaurs - Looking rather brutish, these great quiet beasts live on the far fringes of most civilizations, loving the open water and island life. Minotaurs can choose from the cleric, druid, warrior, and ranger classes. Minotaurs hail primarily from the island of Shatiras, but occassionally a small minotaur enclave will be seen near halfling or human villages. Ogres - While ogres are larger and more disturbing looking cousins of the orcs, they are also very bright and have an affinity for magic. Ogres can choose from the mage, cleric, necromancer, and warrior classes. Ogres can be found in most civilized areas, with the exception of Kisah and the island of Shatiras. Orcs - Orcs are known snorting, pig-faced, smelly brutes which live on the fringes of most societies, their heritage is not known, nor is it usually delved into. Orcs can choose from the cleric, thief, and warrior classes. Orcs hail from the fringes of human civilizations, but none are usually found alive near Brulan, Kisah, or the island of Shatiras. Saurials - Fleeing from their island home of Khyrene upon its destruction due to volcanic eruption, these lizard-like creatures are now found in the eastern parts of Kirganthis near Kisah. Saurials can choose from the ranger, warrior, and druid classes, but due to their highly different habitat and environment, saurials can find adapting to life on the mainland difficult, including use of languages and most "modern" weaponry. Trolls - Almost not even sociable, and not welcome in many places, trolls find their place in society a hard one. Trolls can choose from the cleric, thief, and warrior classes. Trolls are found in few areas, mainly near human civilizations only, such as Stonegate, Quessa, and Riverdale. |
